After downtown Pensacola experienced the great flood, the owners of this home desired a significant upgrade to their kitchen and wet bar. A custom walk-in pantry accompanies traditional raised panel doors, with flip-up doors along the top, taking the cabinets to the ceiling. The design included building the cabinets to the casings of the windows, as well as custom angled paneling to follow the 2nd floor staircase.

FROM THE OWNERS:
“Our New Orleans style home in Historic Pensacola was damaged during the April 2014 flood. As part of our reconstruction, we decided to remodel our kitchen which had been originally designed by a kitchen designer in New Orleans who we contacted again to help us with our project. We became dissatisfied with his commitment to and proposal for our remodeling project.
Because of this our ASID interior design consultant referred us to Bill Hinson and CDC Woodworking. We were immediately impressed with Bill’s incredible creativity. He totally redesigned our kitchen, listened to our thoughts and relocated our breakfast area, pantry, china cabinet, window configuration, range, hood and island placement. The changes he suggested also included; lighting, cabinet functionality, and decorative details all which exceeded our expectations!
Throughout the remodeling project, Bill worked with us, our contractor and sub-
contractors to implement all the changes and assure no details were missed. All members of his staff were both qualified and sensitive to our needs attending carefully to the details of the project and insuring satisfactory completion. Our kitchen is far more functional and a beautiful work of art that we are proud to show off and share with our friends and neighbors and enjoy together for years to come.
I cannot express in words my gratitude to Bill, I will always be thankful that we were introduced to this extraordinary gentleman and gifted artist.”
